Portland’s Annual Youth Summit

Y.O.U.th is a 501(c)3 non profit. Our desire is to promote, organize and create workshops and events using youth culture through the 5 elements of Hip Hop. The first summit began in 2007 in response to the murder of DaVonte Lightfoot.
The summit provides an atmosphere for youth and adults to experience a high level of reasoning and edutainment while also exploring the elements of Hip Hop which has ancient roots and connections to the so-called African Diaspora. There is nothing like the Portland Youth Summit in the Northwest.
The Summit has featured small business vendors and community based non-profits to provide a wealth of resources and information for all participants. Our keynote speakers have been Professor Griff of Public Enemy, Jasiri X, and Rob Ingram (May Allah Be Pleased with Him).
